Rough Cut
Here is the rough cut of our music video. As you can see, this is the incomplete version as I wanted to show a good number of people that are in and around my artist target audience to be able to get critical feedback to understand things that I should consider changing in the future in order for our music video to improve (this could be visually or audio).

Potential digipak photos
Potential digipak photos:
This is three photos form a selection we took before filming. This is the type of look we are going for with our artist. The first shot is a medium shot with our artist covering his mouth portraying he may be hiding a secret or have a message to explain to the target audience.
The second image is more closed. Our artist is posing with his arms crossed and not using direct address. This makes our artist seem mysterious and may convey that he has a story behind him. In addition, his facial expression is quite depressed, this portrays to the target audience that the song is going to be more aggressive than uplifting.
Thirdly, this image is similar to the second but our artist is more open. This is to portray that he is going to explain the reasons for his sorrow and anger. Again, our artist is looking down and is not using direct address to the audience.

What is a Digipak?
What is a Digipak?
A digipak is a type of packaging for CD's amd DVD's, this becmae really popular with artist in the early 2000's and is still used to this present day. For an artist. a digipak is one of the most important piece of promotion to be made when they have brought out an official album or a hit single. The digipak is the case and covering for the artist new album CD and consists of a front cover, two or 4 inside covers and a back cover to be covered by images that are based of the artist music and appeal to their target audience or to express a certain message. Furthermore, manuy artist may include additional promotional materials inside their digipaks such as booklets and posters for fans to be more excited for their purchase. This is definitely a big step for artists that are new because it not only allows them to attract fans of the music but also a wider audience.
The pros of a digipak is for the artist, being able to sell their music to a much broader audience, earning revenue for their hard work and having a more professional approach towards record labels. In addition, it is also a way for a record label to become more established along with the artists. The front of the Digipak will have the primarily focus on the artist but will also have the logo of the record label in the bottom left or right hand corner.
Here is an example from the famous rap star Tupac Shakur also known as 2Pac, signed to death row records.
During the late 1980's and early 1990's, Death Row Records was one of the biggest rap record labels that artist could sign to, owned by Suge Knight. The logo was very distinctive, the reason it only needed be small and still stand out amongst the rest of the imagery.
However, as technology continues to grow and develop, Digipaks may not be as important (In terms of music) because CD's are not as used as they used to be. All music is now downloadable onto a smartphone or portable laptop legally and illegally, resulting in it being cheaper the audience to stream their favourite artist. In addition, Youtube seems to be a bigger platform for distributing music to a younger target audience as music videos are becoming an essential part of the industry and just as important as the song itself. The reason for this is because the majority of music videos compliment the song (Andrew Godwins theory).
This is a prime example by the new age famous rap group called Migos. This song 'Stir Fry' is also featured on their latest album 'Culture II', to add more interest to the song, they have made a music video that is quite movie-like as it consists of scenes of kung-fu fighting. In addition, from the music video being on their own youtube channel, they have been able to gain more revenue from the same song by adding an eye-cacthing music video.

How and why did i choose my track?
How and why did i choose my track?
- Fast paced beat, with some slower part, giving us a variety of shots to use
- Strong beat, allowing us to have the opportunity to include on beat editing
- Great intro before the beat drops
- Use lighting to represent the feeling of the artist
Individual responsibilities
The roles/responsibilities within our group:
My group and I have discussed the responsibilities in our group and have come up with a solid plan. Myself and Kemuel will be keep the filming equal (In all locations). We believe this is a good decision evaluate it allows us to have a variety of shots and angles.
Secondly, editing responsibility has been given to Terek but me and Kemuel will give our inputs to ensure that we all agree on the scenes and effects that are being used. This also allows internal feedback so there are no problems in the group.

Creating a record label
This is the record label we have created for our artist. The "TKT" is the first initials of myself and my two group members. The logo has been used in this way to represent all the members of my group. in the landscape "K", "the untouchable" is written to portray the importance of the record label and how it cannot be affected or touched by anyone who is not signed. In addition, all the artist that do sign to our record label will be in the best hands and in better care than other record labels. "The evolution of a music empire", this conveys that our record label is bringing something different to the music scene and is seperate from all others. Exisiting record labels have not used the idea of a vinyl record. We have used a vinyl record to portray simply what our label is about and focus around. Furthermore, many of the songs that were on viynl and will be remebered for a very long time. This is what we want our artist to have in their career.

Behind the scenes: Studio scene
This is from our shots in the drama studio. I believe this is one of our best locations because we were able to play about with the type of lighting we wanted to use. As you can see, for this scene we used a full red light to convey the anger coming from our artist. We made sure that our artist would use hand gestures to emphasise all of his emotions.

Meeting Schedule
My group and I have been able to decide on meeting and filming times that started from 1st of February. The reason why “After school” has been implemented is because a vast majority of our music video is to be shot in the dark and all the other times occupied can be used for the studio shots where the lighting can be controlled to our specific needs.
